In contrast to the pure oudi which was quite deceptive, pure musk from Lattafa is just that. A scent with simple notes of musk without the addition of pretty much anything else. This makes it a very subtle and delicate scent. One that maybe will need to be re-applied several times if you want to enjoy it all day.
In my opinion, musks are usually added to scents not purely for the scent of musk itself (as it’s a notoriously difficult molecule to smell – not everybody can easily discern it), but rather the effect musky notes have on other notes in the perfumes and thus the overall effect on the perfume itself. Usually it’s to soften a scent and marry accords together. Where I’m going with this is – this is an excellent perfume to layer with pretty much any other scent to soften it or to add a ‘clean’ note, as opposed to enjoying it completely on it’s own.
It comes with a free deodorant, which is a cool bonus given that it’s such good value for money anyway. The cap has a textured leather effect and there are bit’s of crystal in the bottle for added glamour and effect. A crazy low price – but hey that’s what my £15 range is all about. A range of scents I have personally hunted down which exude luxury without the price tag you’d expect and all priced at £15.
