Collection: Dominique Ropion

Ropion was born in Paris in 1955 and trained at the Roure Bertrand Dupont perfumery school in Grasse. Interestingly, he initially studied physics and only moved fully into perfumery after working in a fragrance laboratory as a teenager. He later joined IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances) in 2000.

He's known for being a perfectionist and technically very precise, but also quite adventurous. His style isn't confined to one genre—he can make huge white-floral perfumes, dark roses, fresh vetivers, sweet gourmands and powerful modern ambers.

He was awarded the Prix François Coty in 2008 and was named an IFF Master Perfumer in 2018.
