Jordi Fernández is a self-taught senior perfumer at Givaudan, one of the world's leading fragrance companies. Born in Catalonia, Spain, he developed a passion for perfumery early in life and built his career outside the traditional perfume-school route.

Inspired by nature, travel, memories, and diverse cultures, Fernández creates distinctive fragrances known for their strong projection and lasting presence. He views perfumery as a creative, visionary art that reflects society and celebrates the beauty of nature.

He began his career at Eurofragance in Barcelona, where he gained recognition for his creativity and technical expertise. In 2010, he joined Givaudan and went on to create fragrances for luxury brands such as Montblanc, Carolina Herrera, Versace, and Dolce Fiore.

Fernández is particularly renowned for his expertise in Middle Eastern perfumery, especially oud-based fragrances, developed through years of immersion in the region’s culture and traditions. His versatility allows him to create both minimalist and opulent scents for men and women. One of his most successful creations is Montblanc Explorer, which he co-created with Antoine Maisondieu and Olivier Pescheux. The fragrance is celebrated for its elegant simplicity, featuring notes of bergamot, vetiver, and patchouli.
